Dance Therapy

What is dance therapy?

The American Dance Therapy Association defines dance therapy as "the psycho-therapeutic use of movement as a process which furthers the emotional, cognitive and physical integration of the individual”. Dance as a therapy effects the changes in feelings, cognition, physical functioning and behaviour.

A trained dance therapist can bring about the above mentioned changes in the child.

At Autism Child Development Centre, there will be trained dance therapist form the Victory Arts Foundation started by Shaimak Davar, who will be conducting dance therapy for children with autism and other neuro-developmental disorder.
